Welcome to Sandboxels Tools ("we", "us", "our"). Sandboxels Tools is an unofficial fan-made companion site for searching elements, recipes, reactions, controls, guides and source links related to Sandboxels. This policy applies to sandboxels.wiki and its public pages. It does not replace the privacy policy of the official Sandboxels project or any third-party site we link to.
1. Browser-based tools and local saves
The lightweight experiment on this site runs in your browser. The elements you place on the canvas and the screenshot you create are processed by the browser session for the tool interaction. Basic experiments do not require an account or an upload of your canvas to our server.
If you use the Save button, the current experiment may be stored in your browser's local storage so the page can restore it on the same device and browser. Local storage is controlled by your browser; clear site data if you want to remove it. Do not use this tool as a permanent backup for an important world.
2. Information we may collect
- Technical information such as browser type, device category, approximate region, timestamps, referring page and error events.
- Server and security information such as IP address, request information and abuse-prevention logs.
- Support messages and contact details that you choose to send to [email protected].
- Basic preference signals such as language, local storage state and interaction events needed to improve the site.
We do not ask you to create an account to use the public tools. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into a support message or a public form.
3. Google products, advertising and identifiers
This site may use Google products, including Google AdSense, to serve or measure advertising when advertising is enabled and approved. Google and its partners may collect, share and use data about visits, browser activity, ad requests or ad interactions according to their own policies and settings.
Google products may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers. Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers because ads are served on the site. These technologies can help deliver, limit, measure or personalize advertising where permitted by law and your choices.
For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites, read Google's partner-sites data-use page. You can also review Google's advertising and privacy controls through Google's own services.
4. Cookies and analytics
We may use necessary cookies or similar storage for hosting, security, preferences and basic site operation. We may also use analytics or performance tools to understand page views, device categories, approximate location, referral sources, errors and interactions.
You can manage or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may change some site behavior, but the public element finder and recipe pages are designed to remain usable without an account.
5. How information is used
- Operate and maintain sandboxels.wiki.
- Improve the element finder, recipe search, guides, accessibility and responsive layout.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot errors and protect the site.
- Respond to support requests and corrections.
- Understand whether public pages and tool states are useful to visitors.
We do not use the source text you enter into a browser-only search field as a private content profile. Limited technical or aggregated data may still be processed by hosting, analytics, security or advertising providers as described above.
6. Sharing and service providers
We may share limited information with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, security, email and advertising providers when needed to operate the site, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, measure performance or comply with law. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell personal information as a standalone data-broker product. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the site and users, or as part of a business transfer, while aiming to limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary.
7. Retention and security
Server, security and support records are retained for as long as reasonably needed for operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, legal obligations or support history. Browser local storage remains on your device until you clear it or the site replaces it.
We use reasonable technical measures, but no website, browser or network can promise perfect security. Keep your browser updated and use the official project links when downloading software or loading scripts.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or information about processing. You may also control cookies, local storage, analytics settings and personalized advertising through your browser, device, applicable consent tools and Google settings. Contact us at [email protected] for a privacy request; we may need enough information to verify and respond to it.
9. Children
Sandboxels Tools is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request and delete information where appropriate.
10. External links and official Sandboxels
The site links to the official Sandboxels project, GitHub, stores and other external resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, cookies, scripts and terms. Review the policy of an external site before sending information, downloading a file or enabling a mod.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, tools, advertising products, providers or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date on this page. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
